Fundraiser at Beltline Bar to raise money for food trucks

GRAND RAPIDS May 31, 2016– Have dinner out at the Beltline Bar on Tuesday June 7, between 5 and 9pm, and 15% of your bill will be donated in support of the KICLC’s monthly food truck program. Print out this flyer and present it to your server for the donation to be applied. The more you eat, the more you can help fight hunger in Grand Rapids!

Present this flyer to your server at the Beltline Bar and 15% will be donated in support of the KICLC monthly food truck program.

The fundraiser is being organized by the Kent-Ionia Labor Council’s Public Service Caucus.

Money raised will be given to the Labor Heritage Society of West Michigan, which will then be used to help fund the labor council’s monthly food truck program.

Every month, labor and community volunteers help distribute 5,000 pounds of produce to local families experiencing food insecurity. The trucks are purchased from Feeding America West Michigan, and the food is distributed at area churches.

The Public Service Caucus is open to any public sector workers in Kent and Ionia Counties. It meets on the first Tuesday of every month at 6pm at the Kent-Ionia Labor Center. For more information, contact Caucus Chair Peter Ricketson (ATU Local 836) at
