GRAND RAPIDS October 21, 2015– The Kent-Ionia Labor Council is inviting all west Michigan public employees to a meeting at the Kent-Ionia Labor Center on Wednesday, November 4 at 6pm. At the meeting, we’ll discuss the previous day’s election results, as well as the important elections coming up in 2016.
The meeting will also serve as a kick-off for the newly formed Public Service Caucus, and is open to any municipal, county, state, federal or school employees regardless of union membership.
Public employees represent a wide array of job titles– from bus drivers and firefighters to professors and carpenters– but they’re all fighting against a wave of politicians and special interests who continue to devalue public service.
